Six years ago, our daughter Naylah’s passing walked me through the most unbearable pain. After Naylah’s passing in 2013, I didn’t want my life to be a sum of painful moments so I made sure to lead my life with purpose.
For the second time in my life, that same question I wondered as an 11-year old girl in the middle of a refugee camp would resurface: how do we make the world better? I quickly realized that in order to help the most vulnerable, the world is in desperate need of heart-centred leaders, yet women and girls are rarely seated at the leadership table.
Today, I am leading change internationally as the Founder, President and CEO of Elevate International, dedicated to advancing women and girls leadership so we can collectively, make the world better, save more lives and accelerate progress for all.
