Solange Tuyishime Keita
01 — President & CEO
Solange Tuyishime currently serves as the President and CEO of Elevate International.
“As President & CEO of Elevate International, I have dedicated the last five years advancing women’s leadership globally while removing barriers and supporting girl’s education internationally. Through surviving war and genocide as a child, I gained the wisdom to understand the importance of women’s leadership and economic power in all areas of society. As President of Elevate International, I am fortunate to wake up every day knowing that my work contributes to building a world that inspires heart-centered leaders to create positive change for women and make the world better for generations to come.”
02 — UNICEF Ambassador
UNICEF Canada Ambassador since 2010
As an ambassador for the UNITED NATIONS Children’s Fund; I drive change in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfil their potential. Since 2010, I have helped raise over $2 million in order for children to survive in the world's toughest places; and I have traveled in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Jamaica, Haiti and many more, advocating for the most vulnerable children.
03 — Naylah’s Legacy
The little footprints that will last a lifetime
As a mother, Solange experienced the loss of their daughter, Naylah, and dedicate her memory to raising funds for premature babies with the United Nations.
As a wife and mother to four beautiful daughters (one in Heaven, three on earth). Solange and her husband, had to build resilience and gain a new perspective on life through their daughter’s short time on earth. In honour of their baby, Naylah’s Legacy was created to support newborn initiatives and Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
04 — Journey to Mrs. World
Proudly representing Canada at Mrs. World
As an 11 years old girl who once sat in a refugee camp, surviving with the bare minimum, Solange is dedicating this title to encouraging young girls to dream beyond their circumstances, lead change in their communities and take their dreams to new heights.
Solange has been inspiring women and girls internationally with her title with a greater commitment to advance girls’ education globally.
